How you can Volunteer ?
Ex-British Prime Minister Winston Churchill once said – ‘You make a living by what you get, but you make a life by what you give.’ Ever stopped to wonder if its time to give back to society, but not been able to understand how?
We welcome Volunteers. You are an asset for the Hearing Impaired Community in India, even if you can spare one hour a week from your busy schedule. You may even split it or pace according to your schedule and convenience. What we look forward to is commitment and ownership of the project, task or unit of work initiated or undertaken. You need not leave your home or office to help. You can even do virtual volunteering.
Opportunities for Volunteering exist in various areas of our work for the Hearing Impaired Community in India. You may decide to get involved with one or more of the following areas:
- Become a representative of Cant Stop Reading Project in your locality/company
- Become an Ambassador of Cant Stop Reading Project among your professional community
- Become an Friend of Cant Stop Reading Project for promoting our cause wherever you are and whatever you do
- Become a Collection Point for Donors offering books to Cant Stop Reading Project in your locality
- Promote Social Networking for Cant Stop Reading Project
- Help in coordinating work of our volunteers
- Become a member of a Volunteer Team working on promoting the cause of Hearing Impaired Community in India
- Visit a Home or school for the Hearing Impaired Persons in your locality – periodically or occasionally – for general or specific purpose
- Help with web designing and promoting/positioning us in search engines
- Conceive and designing business plans for fundraising
- Help us in putting in touch with your interested people among your contacts and acquaintances
- Help us create databases (both in international and local level) of Hearing Impaired Persons, Homes providing shelter to needy Hearing Impaired Persons, Training Institutions for Hearing Impaired Persons, NGOs working for the Hearing Impaired Persons, Funding Agencies supporting cause of Hearing Impaired Community, etc.
- Raise funds for different projects for the Hearing Impaired Community in India - including Cant Stop Reading Project, Hearing Aid Support Project, Medical Treatment Fund, Skill Development Fund, etc.
- Represent us in different Seminar, Conferences, meetings, committees concerning Hearing Impaired Community and issues in your city
- Join our Professional Core for helping us with your expertise (legal, branding, financial planning, investment advice, accounting, fundraising, etc.), as and when we need such help
- Join our Brain Trust of visionary think tanks (for giving periodic guidance with your experience and perspective) for our ongoing and forthcoming projects
- Conceive and take charge of a Project for promoting the cause of Hearing Impaired Community in India.
- Writing/preparing web content/newsletter/Annual report/Communication material for our work
Contribute to our cause
If you really cannot find time to become regular volunteer, you can still contribute to the cause of the Hearing Impaired Community in India.
You can also contribute by way of
- Donating Books for our Can’t Stop Reading Project that generates employment for the Hearing Impaired persons
- Donating funds to our Projects for the benefit of the Hearing Impaired Community in India - Can’t Stop Reading Project, Hearing Aid Support Project, Medical Treatment Fund, Skill Development Fund, etc.
- Put us in touch with people from your contacts who may be willing to volunteer or support with donation, material gift or professional expertise
We welcome interested volunteers to get in touch with us to discuss how you can contribute to the development and well-being of the Hearing impaired community. Based on the amount of time you would like to invest and your interests, we can work out a mutually beneficial synergy between you and our projects.
